Elisa Sintjago was born in Amsterdam. She grew up in a musical family, attending church frequently with her family, being exposed to a full spectrum of Gospel music by the time she was ten years old. By the time she was a teenager she had been selected to lead the church choir as the soloist, and performed often as the soloist in church events and school holiday pageants. Eventually Elisa attended the Lucia Martas Academy of Dance and Music, from which she graduated with a major in music performance and dance.
Elisa worked closely with her cousin Glennis Grace, who in 2005 won the national selection in the Netherlands for the Eurovision song contest 2005 for the nation. With Glennis, Elisa appeared on the Netherlands TV networks SBS 6 and RCL 4, in the tv series Dunya and Desie, as well as the series New Kids on the Block. Elisa also performed in musical theatre in Amsterdam, performing the role of Kruimeltge in the Amsterdam production of Kruimeltge.

While in Cannes, she met photo agents from Victoria's Secret and eventually won a contract with that company, travelling to America to model for Victoria's Secret photo shoots in New York City.
While Elisa was enjoying her modelling career she also practiced and promoted her singing, and while in Los Angeles she made connections with hip hop artist Mary J. Blige, whose organisation happened to be in need of backup singers for a US Tour. Elisa won the audition and got the gig. Elisa worked with Mary J. Blige for a year, touring the United States singing backup for Mary's group.
Eventually returning to Amsterdam, Elisa worked extensively with her own eight-piece group RnB Funk and jazz group Junkviber, performing all over Europe. Elisa and Junkviber played dates in Amsterdam, Belgium, France, Spain, England, Greece, Germany and Italy, playing such clubs as the Bulldog, the Ritz, Hard Rock Cafe. The group performed in halls, pubs clubs and restaurants, anywhere good funk is appreciated.

Currently Elisa is performing in St. Tropez and recording for Funkatology Records in Miami. She will be releasing her own CD early next year, stay tuned.
