The Unusual Story, The Unusual Voice
The singing pianist Jan Jares has graduated in popular music at the Prague Conservatory as the first blind student in the school's history. The singer blessed with an extraordinery voice, conducts himself comfortably on the piano. The way in which he has manged to develop his talent is refreshing in many ways.I have been playing for audience for many years. My experience range from performances in fine Prague hotels and restaurants, such as Hilton Hotel, Corinthia Prague, famous Mlynec Restaurant and Kempinski Hotel in Prague.I also perform at private parties and corporate events. I regularly play concerts in Czech Spa towns - Carlsbad, Franzbad Jachymov Spa and Bohdanec Spa.
I am able to present myself in fine English and usually get a very warm feedback from the audience. Singing and playing piano together is my advantage. My performance brings two well-blending instruments to the audience, my voice and piano. I make people sit, enjoy the music and think about the life. My practical assistance - someone who shows me the venue, helps with technical requirements - is always taken care of.

My repertoire ranges from the songs of Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, Roy Orbison, Elvis Presley, Simon and Garfunkel, songs by Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson, Don Williams, Dean Martin, Bruce Springsteen. Furthermore Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, ABBA... Chris Rea, Phil Collins, Sting, Elton John, Leonard Cohen and many others. Naturally my music includes many songs of Czech singers as well.

I am often used to a piano mode only, where apart of pop tunes my repertoire includes jazz as well.

I am a pianist/vocalist/guitarist/entertainer who has cruise ship experience as-well-as many years experience as a dueling pianist. I have performed in over twenty states in the US as-well-as in Europe, the Caribbean, South America, Bermuda, Panama and Mexico.
