With one eye on the Old Hollywood legends of the 40s and another on today's Top 40 charts, Jeff True Jones feels like a pop singer freshly arrived from a more sophisticated time and space. Born in sunny Gainesville, Florida, young Jeff spent years honing his unique style and vision, paying homage to the glamour and style of greats like Judy Garland and Edith Piaf, developing a lithe, seductive vocal style capable of invoking passionate fire and tragic vulnerability.

It was that soulful voice, along with his charm and wit, that earned him a spot on Season 13 of American Idol. After performing all over Florida and opening for Mary Lambert at Gainesville Pride 2014, Jeff came to the Pacific Northwest in pursuit of a fresh start and new connections. Within six months he had won Portland Idol (a smaller, community-oriented offshoot of the national brand) and garnered a spot as a featured performer with Pacific NW cabaret troupe Peep Show.

Jeff has toured the Pacific Northwest and Southeast United States as a solo singer/songwriter. He has also performed as a piano bar entertainer in Gainesville, Florida for 1982 Bar and University Club, as well as a resident piano bar entertainer for Seasons 52 in San Diego, California. He currently resides in Birmingham, Alabama where he works as a piano bar entertainer for Birmingham's Seasons 52.

4. Availability: I would be available for a 4-6 month contract as early as October 1st, 2016.
