Mari is a resident of the USA originally from Tokyo Japan. She is classically trained since the age of five. From 1994 to 1999 Mari studied music and English in the states. After returning to Tokyo she began honing her skills as a boogie-woogie blues piano player in a Blues Brothers tribute band. She joined a blues band starring Toshie Nagishi, a famous national Japanese actress. In 2005 she won a green card lottery, earned her green card and returned to the states to tour and entertain both nationally and abroad. Mari and Scott worked together on the Sea Princess touring the Caribbean for four months. Since then Mari has been working on sing along repertory. A mixture of classic and current pop/rock. There he performed and studied with world renowned artists and performers such as Kenny Aronoff, Donald Erb and Gerald Carlyss.
