I fit your criteria for a bass player perfectly.
I’ve been playing bass in live bands for over 20 years. For about five years I played in professional bands around Ireland at weddings, corporate functions and major live music venues. I also played a lot of debs – the Irish version of the prom. As you can probably imagine, playing in those kinds of bands for those crowds, the music was high energy pop/rock, up to date and across all the decades from the 50s, with a lot of R&B and country included. I’m also comfortable taking bass solos, playing standards and I can read and improvise with chord charts.
Last year in Spain I was chosen as the bass player for a high energy blues/soul band by the guitarist Rob Thornburn who has played with The Joe Cocker and Tina Turner Bands and toured the world with Kiss, Aerosmith and Rush. You can see me playing with this band in my Youtube links at the end of this application.
I am currently studying bass with scottsbasslessons.com, an online bass academy with almost 7000 members worldwide. Using this resource, I practice two to three hours a day across a lot of bass disciplines. In April of this year I was named student of the month.
My main band in Ireland was Red Effect which I started with Paul Woodage, director of Showcase Cork, a very successful band management company. He asked me to form and run the band while he covered every cost, including the van and full PA.
Sets were generally two hours without a break while weddings and corporate shows could be up to three hours long with a break. Sometimes we would also play two shows in a day.
I’m no longer with Red Effect as I relocated to Spain, but they are still going very strong and you can see them here: http://showcasecork.com/artists/redeffect.htm During my time in Ireland, I also covered for bass players in many professional bands, often at weddings. I was also the substitute of choice for Jerome Rimson, who had previously played with Van Morrison, Automatic Man and Phil Lynott on Phil’s solo tours.

However, ever since the beginning, I gave a good account of myself as one of the most perspective students of the piano class in the music school in Storozhynets, Chernivetska Oblast, Ukraine, by winning the oblast theoretical olympiad (second place) and the competition of young pianists (also second place) in Chernivtsi.

Maryanne Lacaille here. coming to you straight from Boston Conservatory and now writing from The Big Apple in Manhattan, I have performed in many shows including Shen Yun World Tour, "on" and "off" Broadway Shows. These shows are as follows: West Side Story at LaScala Opera House in Milan Italy, Annie Get Your Gun, Thorougly Modern Millie, A Chorus Line, (Dreamcoat, Phantom, Cats-this tour reatured the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber in a worldwide tour which started at Beijing's Great Hall of the People) Damn Yankees, ShowBoat, Oliver!, How To Succeed, Mame and Gypsy (starring Tyne Daly)
My mainstay is the clarinet family of which I am considered to be top-ranked as an accomplished Eb/Bb/A/Bass Clarinetist. Having toured with many shows, I play with beautiful instruments, perfect intonation and blending but yet wtih a nice clean sound that I learned through my studies with re-nowned teachers.
I have participated in master classes in Russia, Poland, Germany and the U.S. Based on a recital that I gave a couple of months ago at Merkin Hall in New York, I was reviewed by New York Concert Review Magazine "the soaring clarinet melodies were played with gusto and bravura".
Here in the Pacific Northwest, I am on faculties at: Academy of Music N.W., Everett Community College, Eastern and Western Washington Universities, Michigan State University and the University of New Mexico.
My performances have been enthusiastically acclaimed by critics and audiences alike for her performances in orchestra, chamber music and solo recital appearances. I have appeared at prestigious music and clarinet festivals, symposiums and universities in Colombia, Portugal, Sweden, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico and throughout the United States.
El Sol de Mexico described her performances as "magnificent interpretations, and had the audience in ecstasy. Maryanne's simple youthful appearance has made her an in-demand artist at Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival, Outreach Programs and International ClarinetFests from around the world and has served on adjudications for Clarinet Festivals at Kansas City (2008), Atlanta (2006) Salt Lake City (2002) and Stockholm (2000).
My reputation as both an outstanding orchestra and chamber musician has also attracted students from Canada, U.S.A. and South America to come study with Maryanne Lacaille.
My studies go with the late/great Harold Wright, Larry Combs, Attilio Poto, John Mc Caw (principal of London Symphony) Gabor Reeves (professor at South Wales Conservatory) Herb Blayman (principal clarinet Metropolitan Opera Orchestra) and Robert Marcellus (Northwestern University).

Mari is a resident of the USA originally from Tokyo Japan. She is classically trained since the age of five. From 1994 to 1999 Mari studied music and English in the states. After returning to Tokyo she began honing her skills as a boogie-woogie blues piano player in a Blues Brothers tribute band. She joined a blues band starring Toshie Nagishi, a famous national Japanese actress. In 2005 she won a green card lottery, earned her green card and returned to the states to tour and entertain both nationally and abroad. Mari and Scott worked together on the Sea Princess touring the Caribbean for four months. Since then Mari has been working on sing along repertory. A mixture of classic and current pop/rock. He continued to play off and on, became involved in the school's music program and jammed with friends. He played regularly in the Indianapolis area and earned a Bachelors Degree in percussion performance from The Indiana University School of Music in Bloomington, Indiana. There he performed and studied with world renowned artists and performers such as Kenny Aronoff, Donald Erb and Gerald Carlyss. He also did a six year stint playing drums and percussion for the 38th Infantry Division Army Band. He went out on the road originally in May of 2005 with Dana Jordan. Since then he's been a member of other band lineups like 4am and Crosstown. Scott and Mari did a four month Caribbean tour aboard the Sea Princess. Scott has been working continuously since in Nashville, on the road and most recently in a house band in Indianapolis while working on a repertory of classic pop/rock with Mari. We're still shopping the CD to European record labels and have a few leads so far. We found a record label that really likes, but can't afford the advance we need. They are acting as our agent at the MIDEM international music industry convention. I'm just trying to be patient. I wanted someone who really understood my playing to write the notes. Tim knew all the teachers I studied with. I also felt that he really appreciated the direction I was headed as well as the musical influences that had shaped my playing. He have been trading our music for years but have never met in person. I'm very happy with how the liner notes turned out. He really understood what we were trying to do with this CD. "When one considers what makes a meeting of two master musicians interesting, there are several common factors that can be observed throughout the history of jazz. The interest is found in the contrast between a common vocabulary and lineage but interpreted individually which of course is one of the main facets of jazz. In other words, there is enough similarity for some semblance of a unified approach, but at the same time enough differences to attract interest. With David Valdez and Pere Soto the unity and differences are clearly demonstrated. Stylistically, David and Pere approaches are very distinct. They both stretch the rhythm and harmony, but in completely different ways. David seems to slip and slide around within the framework of a tune in with a wide range of articulations and intervallic choices. He plays with the beat creating a kind of spiraling vortex of sounds. One of the very best modern day alto players! Pere Soto dives straight into the center of the harmony and pulse using his incredible imagination to create a universe of its own within the structure of the tune. Speed and dexterity are fundamental to his style .Ya know, when I close my eyes and listen to him, it’s amazing. Finally, there is the sheer joy and camaraderie the David Valdez and Pere Soto of playing and listening to each other. Classic! This disc is stellar and packed with just the kind of experience needed, which is to the advantage of the listener because it brings a relaxed informality to the recording. Pere in his own way has extended the language on his instrument to a level prominent enough to have a major effect. It has been my feeling that with our culture's emphasis upon and rewarding of conformity rather than originality has been increasingly stifled in the past decade or so. You won't hear that stifled approach here! In his playing you hear the history of jazz! David Valdez can do so much and has always struck me as rather distinctive on that level as well. He tends to go more directly head to head inside the music. Maybe this translates musically to more chances taken, more densely packed lines, more roughness and use of combinations in the sound. Most of these tunes allow the artists to use their common language, as a vehicle for creativity and self-expression. It is a vital source of listening experience, I've known Valdez for years musically, and his playing is a vital asset to this music. This disc combines a kind of textural austerity with the sometimes forbiddingly jagged melodies that just make you return to it daily, the results are very attractive. This new recording by these two modern day masters is a step in a well-needed direction. This excellent project brings together highly respected players whose paths have crossed before in various configurations over the years. As a unit, they authoritatively and creatively play the music o n this disc with great personal integrity coupled with intensity and energy, formidable chops and intelligence that recalls the forward thinking. Dear Sir/Madam, My name is Alfonsus Gollu, an Indonesian SOLO PERFORMER ( Singing Guitarist ) whose recently living and performing at pubs around Tokyo.
I have been performing for more than 12 years, back in Bali and now in Tokyo too. Recently just finished a 6-month contract onboard with a cruise ship. My main insturment is the semi-acoustic electric guitar. While playing it I sing famous songs from the late '60s until the present, with my trusty Boss Loop Station as my companion. There are more than 700 famous songs, and still counting, that I perform.
As I consider that so many solo guitarist performers are so depends on the backing tracks, I am trying to be a little different with more acoustically sounds that really give honest and memorable performances. With that way, no wonder, I could get close to the guests and could really entertain them. Of course, I still could manage to use some minus-one tracks for some dancing excitement tunes.
Many guests were impressed by the way I performed and the wide variety of songs in my repertoire. In fact, I was so popular with the guests that I received the Star Employee of the Month award during my first month onboard on my previous ship. Even up to the end of my contract, the guests continued to write positive comments about me and my performances.

My name
is Moraru Petrisor Cezar. I was born on the 6th of September
1977 in Onesti, not far from the place where I grew up and where I begun
my studies: Slanic Moldova. After graduating from elementary school
and gymnasium, in 1991, I was admitted to the Arts Highschool “George
Apostu” in Bacau in the tuba section.
During
the four years of study, I took part in three national instrumental
rendition competitions. In the 2nd year of study I was awarded
the 3rd prize, in the 3rd year I was awarded the
2nd prize and in the 4th year I was awarded the
4th prize. Moreover, I participated in different solo concerts
and recitals, and also performed in the high-school chamber music orchestra.
In that period I also played with the Bacau Symphonic Orchestra.
Upon graduating
from high school in 1995 I was admitted in the Tuba Department of the
Music Faculty within the West University of Timisoara. At this point,
my dream of having a career in this instrument was beginning to materialize.
Studying under the close care and scrutiny of Prof. Ion Vidu, main tubist
at the “Banatul” Philarmonic Orchestra in Timisoara, I was able
to grow and to develop a good technique and a rich musical culture.
During
my studies I was given the chance to apply what I learned in several
orchestras, setting a good foundation to my musical career. Starting
with my freshman year already and throughout my studies, I collaborated
with the “Banatul” Philarmonic Orchestra, with which I participated
at festivals, recitals, concerts and tours in the country and abroad.
That same year I also started my collaboration with the “Europa Symphony”
Orchestra, the flagship orchestra of Western Romania, gathering the
best instrumentists from the Fhilarmonic Orchestras in the western half
of the country; I am a colaborrator of this orchestra even today. The
third opportunity arised as I was also admitted to play at the German
State Theatre, where I was active for one year as main tubist and bass
player.
In my
2nd year at university, I founded the Student Brass Quintet.
This quintet has brought me a great deal of satisfaction, as we could
perform chamber music, concerts and recitals with various occasions
and on the stages of different institutions, such as the Arad Philarmonic
Orchestra, the Timisoara Philarmonic Orchestra, the Romanian Opera in
Timisoara, the National Theatre Timisoara, the Hungarian State Theatre
and German State Theatre. We also played for charity in Elderly Houses
and orphanages. Together with the Student Brass we also recorded an
audio cassette and a CD with the most beloved Christmas and jazz songs.
The funds we raised while performing where donated for helping the children,
the orphans and homes for old people.
After I graduated from university, in 2000, I won the opening audition at the Philarmonic Orchestra of Arad, in principal tuba position, where I’ve been working ever since. In the same year, I was employed at Music Highschool of Arad to teach tuba, guitar and secondary piano. I was active as teacher until 2002. In my
first year of teaching, one of my students won the 2nd prize
at National Instrumental Competition, tuba section.
In 2003,
I won the opening audition at Cluj Philarmonic Orchestra, being active
as principal tubist until 2005. With this orchestra I participated in
many recitals, tours, in the country and abroad.
Since
2000, I continued my work in Arad and different places, seeking to enrich
my experience as much as I can in every way.

One of two exceptional guitarists: Craig Goodwin or Sean Ferguson joins with Rodolfo Vázquez, former first chair flutist with the Mexico City Orchestra to make this a most compelling musical choice. Rodolfo Vázquez, flutist, is former professor of flute at the Conservatorio Nacional de Música del Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes and principal flute with the Orquesta Filarmónica del Conservatorio Nacional de Música both in México City and the Orquesta Sinfónica de la Universidad de Guanajuato in Guanajuato, México. He has been touring as a soloist and in chamber music ensembles in the U.S., México, England and Switzerland. Rodolfo is music director of Vázquez & Ferguson (Silver & Spruce) and El Cálido Viento. He has been awarded three times by the Ohio Arts Council and four times by the Greater Columbus Arts Council for CD recordings of Latin American, classical, original music and for chamber music recitals in Franklin County. He has studied with the world renowned Irish flutist Sir James Galway who wrote of Rodolfo: “Your music is charming and beautifully played.” In August 2006 and then again in August 2008 he participated in the Sir James Galway International Flute Masterclass in Interlaken and Weggis, Switzerland performing with the Sir James Galway Flute Choir both times. This August 2008 the class was made possible through a Marc Rich Scholarship from Switzerland. Sir James commented in January 2007: “The class in Interlaken was the best I have ever heard as a teacher or performer and your wonderful playing is still a very vivid memory.” Rodolfo is chairman of the Ohio Hispanic Fine Arts Association. This is an Organization that promotes Latino arts in Ohio. He taught flute at Ohio State University CAP program for nine years. Rodolfo has been musician-in-residence at Covenant Presbyterian Church for twelve years. Craig Goodwin, guitar. He studied at Colorado State University, the Ohio State University and Ohio University. Craig Goodwin began composing at the age of fifteen on the piano and guitar. Mr. Goodwin is now one of the most sought after guitarist in the midwest, performing over three hundred concerts a year. In addition to his solo and ensemble work, he has performed and toured with the national recording group McGuffey Lane and international legend Roger McGwinn , among others. He is currently involve in several recording projects and works with five different ensembles, ranging from Latin, jazz, children’s music and original material. Recordings of his music are available on iTunes. Sean Ferguson, guitarist, holds a bachelor and a master degree in music form the Ohio State University, where he studied classical guitar and music history. He also received a master degree in librarianship from Kent State University. Sean studied classical guitar with John Leonard and Peter Segal at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and has performed in masterclasses with the noted guitarists Stephen Aron, Philip DeFremery, Nicholas Goluses, Oscar Ghiglia and Joshua Rifkin. A winner of the WFLN Radio Young Instrumentalists Competition in Philadelphia, he has performed actively on modern and historical guitars and lutes as a soloist, accompanist and chamber musician throughout Ohio and Pennsylvania, including appearances with the Philadelphia Orchestra’s Young People Concert Series, Opera/Columbus and the Philadelphia and Columbus Guitar Societies. | hello I am a hungarian bassoonist. I live in Switzerland. I am a specialist for contemporary music and barock music as well. Mainly I play free improvised music in clubs, and I teach bassoon in two music schools. I am a freelancer bassoonist too. I have studied in Hungary, in Austria and in Switzerland in the bassoon class of Prof. Pascal Gallois. I have a diplom from pedagogy and a certificate of advanced studies of music performance. I am very interested to make concerts in Dubai. I can make a solo concert and also play in an orchestra of your interest. I can do jobs at the weekend from thursday to monday.
