You saying compensation is royalties if the music gets edited? Don't understand that.. I get royalties in each period and it's never because my work is edited. Maybe you can clearly state what the job is for and possibly title you work "FREELANCE" nobody is going to work for royalties.. or royalties alone..

You get royalties after a song is published, played and/or performed. not edited. All my production I get a payment up front and I get royalties for that work during the royalty quarter as there are only 3 royalty quaters a month..
