Armando Vazquez Resume
Described as a worthy talented musician by El Diario,Armando has performed in chamber Ensembles,Orchestras,and as soloist throug out the tri-state area and abroad. He has been principal for the Operafestival di Roma Orchestra in Italy where the orchestra recorded for RAI television Mozart piano concerti and Mozart Kegelstatt's Trio K.498. A graduate of Laguardia High School of Music and Art and Performing Arts and the Mannes College of Music PC div. He has played with Ensemble Du Monde, Ensemble Artist's Orchestra , New York Symphonic Arts Ensemble, New York Youth Symphony Chamber Music, Laguardia Symphony, Interschool Orchestra of NY, CLOC Opera Orchestra, Orange County Community Band, Ramsey Wind Symphony .He was E-Flat Clarinetist with the Ridgewood Concert Band 2006-2011 where he can be heard on the Highlights of the 26th Season CD and many other cds. Competetions and Festivals he has been are Tanglewood Festival, Hampden Sydney Festival, Bowdoin, Lincoln Center's Young Artist's Competition and has performed Brahm's Trio op.114 at Merkin Hall. Masterclasses have been with Ronald Roseman, Richard Stolzman, Felix Galimir, Samuel Baron, Robert Routch, Alan Kay, Franco Ferranti, Ethan Sloane and David Gould . He is active in NY/ NJ as a clarinet sub which has given him opportunities to work with conductors and ensembles , Roger Wesby Wagner Symphony, Brooklyn Symphony, Timothy Hutto New York Symphonic Arts Ensemble, Orchestra society of Philadelhia , Sybille Werner ,Marlon Daniel of Ensemble Du Monde, Anthony Maglinoe Nathaniel White Ensemble Artist's Orchestra of New Jersey ,David Briskin National Ballet of Canada, Jonathan Strasser, Stefano Vignati Operafestival di Roma, David Randolph Santa Cecila Orchestra NYC, Dino Anagnost Little Orchestra Society and recently Performed in Brahms Requiem under the direction of Joseph Jones He was recently invited to a six month national tour of My fair lady.He studied with David Weber from the Juilliard School in NYC,his major influences are David Weber , Ralph Mclane , Daniel Bonade, Harold Wright and Louis Cahuzac. | ||
