JAZZ- WORLD MUSIC PROMOTER - MUSICIAN ( SAXOPHONE AND FLUTE)
Marcello Leanza, from Italy, is a Musician and a Music Promoter since 1980.

Artistic Director for the Associazione Catania Jazz until 1994, he dealt with dozens of Jazz, Ethnic, Arabic and Pop music exhibitions and festivals, other than the first Italian edition of the "WOMAD", in 1989 and three days festival dedicated to the great British composer MIKE WESTBROOK (1992).
In contact with agencies and musicians from all over the world, in those years he developed a solid network thanks to his musical knowledge, acquired through an in-depth study of the instrument, and his marketing skills.
From 2003 to 2007, he contributes to the "Dubai International Jazz Fest", both as a Stage Manager and as a Performer, in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Artistic Advisor for 4 editions of the "Sergio Amato Jazz Festival", held in Siracusa.
Organizer of the "Jazz & Much More" festival in the beautiful scenery of Panarea, guesting, among the others, the phenomenal sax player Francesco Cafiso and yemeni star Noa.

As a musician, he boasted a huge experience. A true veteran on stage, he has been playing Blues, Jazz, Tango, Latin in several combos, party bands, big bands and orchestras.
He's a good sight reader ( he boasts 4 contracts on different cruise ships) and an excellent improvisor.
He leads the humorous marchin' group THE SIZE 46 STREET BAND and THE GENTLE JAZZ, a modular combo suitable for Jazz Festivals and Corporate Events.
He's a proud member of LIBERTANGO 5TET, a project band which blends Jazz, Tango, Latin and Mediterranean sounds.


He possesses excellent English knowledge, both written and spoken, as well as good French skills.
He is married and has a son who's studied music at Tech Music School, London
