Alejandro Orozco Resume
Began formal studies since 1997 in the “Instituto Cardena Miranda” in Mexico City and got his bachelor in 2002. Besides traditional musical knowledge, he studied piano with Gustavo Morales, choral and orchestral conducting with Xavier González and composition with Victor Rasgado.
In 2002 got a scholarship by the “Instituto Cardenal Miranda” to continue his studies and development abroad and choose Codarts as a starting point due to affinity between his music and the music done in the Netherlands. In 2008 graduate from composition and now is studying the master program in composition at Codarts with Robin de Raaff as main teacher and with Rene Uijlenhoet in electronic music. His most important works are: “Brains CORNER” piece for ensemble on stage and dancers premiered by the “Rotterdam Ensemble” conducted by Roberto Beltran. “Regen” (winner of the 3rd prize in the VSB Poëzieprijs 2007) for piano, cello, saxophone and mezzo-soprano. “Colatijera” premiered by de Orkest ‘de ereprijs’ and “Reddish Memory” (winner of the “TROMP International Music Competition and Festival” in 2008). Now is preparing an opera that will be premiered in 2010. | ||
