Stephen W. Heist Resume
Born in the United States (St. Louis, Missouri), Steve was classically trained on the piano from the age of 7 through college at Washington University and picked up the guitar on his own at age 10. Always wanting to expand his horizons, he astounded his parents by going to cattle call audition at the world famous St. Louis "Muny" Opera, and was selected 3 years in a row as a singing chorus member, without ever having any voice lessons. Now, his 6,000+ song repertoire is incredible, to say the least and he repertoire spans over 100 years of mostly American music. He plays so many styles of music from Broadway, traditional jazz, today's pop, swing, country western, oldies, standards, and classic rock. Steve mostly sings in English, but is also comfortable in French, Spanish and Italian. Steve was a regular in Las Vegas for years, working at such venues as the Riviera Hotel, the Dunes, and Liberace's Tivoli Gardens Restaurant. He has also worked at many 5 star hotels, the prestigious University Club in Washington, D.C. where many of the federal government elite gathered. The last 10 years, Steve has worked in the cruise ship industry for Royal Carribean and Celebrity Cruise Lines, hand picked to bring out the world's largest ship in it's time, the Voyager of the Seas. Currently, he is entertaining on a ship called the Pride for the Yachts of Seabourn, sailing northern Europe. | ||
