Jerry J.Thomas is an Americana/Country/Folk singer/songwriter born in Ironton, Ohio on Jan.26th. He was raised in Jacksonville, Florida a product of the city's west side. He is a member of Nashville, Tennessee's B.M.I. (Broadcast Music Industries)out of Nashville, Tn.He is a 2016 Country Music Association of Texas Hall of Fame Inductee with enshrinement taking place Oct.28th,2015 in Spring,Texas.He was also inducted into the Atlanta Country Music Hall of Fame on Nov.28th,2015 in Atlanta,Georgia.Jerry J. has a big voice,he is a big man,and has even a bigger heart.Always ready to lend a helping hand to those less fortunate.And Jerry J. also started his very own record label TEX-A-BILLY RECORDS in January of 2016.
Jerry has had 5 number one songs on the Global Independent Radio Charts,starting in 2013 with "Boy What A Girl" that was penned by Aaron Bozwell & Hawkshaw Hawkins Jr., His self penned "That's The Way That I Love You","Road To Hope" written by Jerry and his long time co-writeing partners Mike White & Issac Gilbert,all coming out in 2014. In 2015 his self penned "Johnny Sang A Country Song" written with legendary Little David Wilkins went to number one as did "Who ever Turned You On" written by Little David Wilkins closed out the summer at number one. Jerry has had number one songs in Canada,Europe,Japan,Asia as well as regional hits in several area's of the United States. Jerry is a honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army. He spent many years as tour bus driver for such groups as Gary Stewart, Molly Hatchett, 38-Special, Johnny Van Zant Band before heading out on his own musical career.Jerry is the founder of the 17,000 plus member Facebook group The Peoples Real Country Music Hall of Fame.Jerry J.'s music is as sincere as the man himself. A real down to earth man that takes time with his fans and devotes himself to his faith.He has always been ready to help his fellow man in times of need by lending his talent whenever he can.
