Luka Vlasic Resume
Born in Croatia, Luka studied with Goran Listes at Arts Academy University of Split, graduating with diplomas in Guitar Performance and Guitar Teaching. During his studies he won several regional and national prizes including first prize in the National Chamber Competition in Samobor in 2005.
Participating in many guitar festivals throughout Europe, Luka has had the opportunity to work with some of the greatest guitarists of our time; such as Aniello Desiderio, Costas Cotsiolis, Carlo Marchione, Pavel Steidl, Zoran Dukic, Denis Azabagic, Marco Tamayo, Marcin Dylla, luteist Hopkinson Smith etc. He was also a member of the International Guitar Orchestra Balint Bakfark in Hungary. A keen performer, he regularly gives solo recitals and is involved in a duo with violinist Simona Cmrecnjak. He has a special interest in early romantic guitars which he uses in his performances. Before joining Centre for Musical Arts in Dubai Luka worked in Croatia at Josip Hatze Music Conservatory in Split and Melita Lorkovic Music School in Trogir teaching guitar and chamber music. | ||
