Sara Bondi Resume

Sara Bondi began her music studies at the age of 7 singing in the “Choral Society of the City of Cuneo”. She then went to the Conservatory of this same town to study flute, where she obtained her degree in 1998. In the year 2000 Professor Meinhard Niedermayr (Wiener Philharmoniker) invited her to study in his class at the “Konservatorium der Stadt Wien” where she graduated in 2004, with a “C.M. Ziehrer” grant. In July 2008 she has also graduated with highest marks in chamber music studies at the Conservatorio "G.F.Ghedini" of Cuneo, with a thesis on "Joueurs de FlĂ»te" by Albert Roussel.
During and after her studies she has performed in Austria, Italy and Spain as soloist (particularly noticeable is her performance of Reinecke's Flute Concert op.283 in front of the Camerata Musica Wien) as well as in orchestras or chamber music.
She played in Italy with the Savona Sinfonic Orchestra, the Turin Philharmonic Orchestra and the Alessandria Classic Orchestra; in Austria with the Haydn Sinfonietta Wien, with the Soloists of the Wiener Kammeroper, and the European Philharmonic Orchestra and in Spain with the Orquesta Sinfónica Europea Mediterránea, the Orquesta Filarmonía and with the Ensemble Nacional de España de Música Contemporánea.
She has always looked for an art form that is able to fusion her multiple interests (she graduated in German and English in 2001 and she attended dance classes during a long period); that is why in 2004 she founds the theatre-music group Punto e Virgola, with the Greek actress Caterina Kazantzy, and in 2006 she works with the choreographer Angelo Monaco on the creation of a choreography on the flute solo piece “La danse de la chèvre” by Honnegger for the Teatro Toselli in Cuneo. In 1999 she recorded the soundtrack of the short movie Dopo di Te by Antonio Bracco, music by Gabriele Roberto.
Currently her artistic activity comprehends the Duo Ranjayati with pianist Anna Barbero, an interesting work with the guitarist/composer Pablo Mendez and she has also begun to make some steps in popular music thanks to collaboration with the Uruguayan singer Pilar Rodriguez-Castillos, whith whom she recorded in 2009 the cd "Carne de Luna". Beside this she is a teacher in different music schools in Madrid.
