Diego Maldonado Resume
Venezuelan Drummer and Composer, graduated from The Collective School of Music in New York City in 2003 under the guidance of such greats drummers as Kim Plainfield, Peter Retzlaff, Michael Laurent, Memo Acevedo, Fred Klatz.
Since Diego went back to Venezuela has worked with some of the most important Venezuelan Jazz musicians like: Pablo Gil, Leo Blanco, Alfredo Naranjo, Biella DaCosta, Cesar Orozco, Ensemble Nuevas Almas, Juan Angel Esquivel Trio, Antonio Mazzei, Oscar Fanega, Luca Vincenzetti Trio, Rigel Mitxelena, Laurent Lecuyer, Prisca Davila, Virginia Ramirez, Hugo Fuguet, Gonzalo Teppa, among many others. Besides his work as a session drummer, Diego gained recognition teaching at one of the best jazz academies in Venezuela called “Taller de Jazz Caracas”.
